Let’s talk SUPPLEMENTS!!

“Supplements” is such a dark word for many people but let me tell you this, NOT ALL SUPPLEMENTS ARE BAD!! Some peoples bodies can’t actually do everything the body needs/requires and end up with diseases and/or problems.

As important as it is to intake ALL your daily macronutrients; your micronutrients are JUST as important! These days the healthy food is not all so healthy and it is not always easy to obtain your micronutrient needs. This is where supplements can aid in providing your body with the essentials that it needs! At Horsfield Helix we ensure that both your macro and micronutrient needs are taken care of.

There are two BIG reasons why I support supplementation:

  1. Supplements improve overall health and help manage/correct health conditions.
  2. Supplements improve strength and/or endurance, increase exercise efficiency, achieve a performance goal more quickly, as well as increase tolerance for more intense training.

When it comes to nutrition; Horsfield Helix BELIEVES that in order to assist the body we need to get to the ROOT of the problem. The source will say it all! Therefore at Horsfield Helix we find the source and provide the necessary supplementation to AID and possibly help correct the problem area, as a pose to covering it up.

We have various supplements, namely:

  1. AlMega’s

As long as the right supplements needed for your body are being used correctly; supplements can be an amazing addition to your fitness and/or nutritional goals.

When it comes to fitness; supplementation can aid in different things. Namely; muscle recovery, pre workouts, weight loss, protein intake etc. Are they necessary? That is dependant on your goal. However, in most cases they do provide a lot of benefits to a strong nutritional and training program. Are they safe? If you are supplementing correct then YES, supplements are safe but they are not always essential.

ALWAYS REMEMBER: Your body is NOT a ONE SIZE FITS ALL!! What works for one may not work for the
other so NEVER copy someone else’s plan without the assistance from a coach!
